The Bear Trace at Harrison Bay State Park
Course Information: The Bear Trace at Harrison Bay is located just outside of Chattanooga, Tennessee within Harrison Bay State Park. The golf course is owned and operated by The State of Tennessee through the Department of Environment and Conservation. The golf course has 18 holes with Champion ultradwarf bermudagrass greens and Tifway 419 tees, fairways, and roughs. The Bear Trace at Harrison Bay is widely recognized as a leader in environmental sustainability and has received numerous national and international awards and certifications for it environmental programs.
Duties: The Groundsworker 3 position, better classified as a Second Assistant, will be responsible for working with the Golf Course Superintendent and First Assistant Golf Course Superintendent involving all aspects of golf course operations.
- Assist upper management in all agronomic and maintenance aspects of the golf course
- Supervise and work along side of fellow agronomy staff members
- Assist and supervise chemical and fertilizer applications
- Maintain and repair irrigation and drainage systems of the golf course
- Maintain accurate record

Experience equivalent to four years of increasingly responsible and skilled full-time labor and trades work including, at least, three years of grounds maintenance work. Valid drivers license and at least 18 years of age.
